November 15 is the reporting day for the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL hosted by Jo at Serendipitous Stitching. Pretty much anything stitched using gifted supplies, or stitched to be given as a gift qualifies for the GG SAL.
I finished my 2019 stitching list some time ago, but today I framed up four cross stitched pieces as Christmas gifts for a great-nephew and three greatnieces, so I am using a shoehorn to claim them for this month's GG report.
I have just finished decorating my house for Christmas, and I just can't stop myself from putting up some pics. I started decorating earlier than normal because it usually takes two of us 3 weeks, and this year I didn't have my helper. Last year I didn't decorate at all because of illness, so I wanted this year to be special. To my amazement I finished my Christmas transformation in under 3 weeks. So, here are some pictures.
If you came to my house for a Christmas visit, this is what you would see when I opened the front door for you:
Upstairs you will find my Jim Shore pieces.
Downstairs in the loungeroom there are Angels and Santas aplenty.
My Santa tree
My Angel tree
My stitched ornament and
handcrafted beaded angel tree
My vintage Santas
And on the entry level, you will find my big Santa waiting to greet you. The dining room, kitchen, and sitting room are on this level.
I've enjoyed showing some of my festive house . I hope you have a happy Christmas, and that 2020 brings for you and your loved ones a year of good health, good fortune, and contentment.
Merry Christmas!
Wow. Your home is a Christmas wonderland. It is truly amazing.

Hugs,

It's always great to see the stitchings with their frames. Nice visit, thanks for inviting us. I will probably come every next day! Can't wait to start at home, we bought in Belgium a new decoration for our Christmas display : a windmill! as we can't expand on surface we'll have to create a place on the mountain scenery! ReplyDeleteGreat stitching! I'm not surprised it takes 3 weeks to decorate your house - that's amazing
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful santas on the Santa tree. You do put on spectacular display for the festive season, its amazing.
ReplyDeleteOooh my, that's amazing. It is really a Xmas Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteHave a grat time.
Greetings from the other side of the world.
Beautifully decorated home! I love the Santa tree.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, your house looks amazing, no wonder it takes you so long to decorate! There are so many things to love, but I think I like your Santa tree the best. It that something you made or bought? And how nice that you can say you're ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy paetner made the Santa tree, and another slightly smaller one that I have decorated with angels. It has a central wooden timber that has holes drilled through from side to side to take dowel branches, and another set of holes at the front to take shorter pieces of dowel. I like these yrees because they just hang on the wall from a picture hook, and I can get so many ornaments on the tree.
DeleteThanks for taking part in GG this month, the framed pieces look great.
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas House too, I think I need to see it in person to truly appreciate all the hard work! I also like those wall mounted display trees, a very clever idea.
Lovely gifts, and what a house! My family's enthusiasm for Christmas decorations is practically zero so I'll just admire yours! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have decorated so beautifully. Thanks for sharing. AriadnefromGreece!
