It is the largest project I have ever undertaken. I am stitching on 22 count, so the finished design will be 72 cm wide x 48 cm high (28.5" x 19"). I was quite daunted when I downloaded the chart, and got 74 A4 pages printed. Luckily, there were only 66 pages of chart. My floor frame wasn't wide enough to accommodate the fabric, so I have turned the project sideways. I started my project at the bottom left hand corner, on chart page 56, which I have just completed, and I have now moved on to page 45.
Christmas Dreams, 10/1/16
My aim is to complete a page a month this year, and also to stitch one or two Christmas ornaments per month. It's pretty fluid. I'll see how it pans out!

This is a gorgeous design and you have made a great start on it.
I have this chart! I love it! Not sure when I'll get around to starting it....
You've made a wonderful start! Looking forward to watching it grow.
Great new stitching! Enjoy - I look forward to seeing it grow :)
Wow it is a very great project
you did a beautiful start up
Beautiful chart and great start.

Such a super project, great start you have made to it.
What a gorgeous project! I look forward to your progress.
What a stunning project!!! If I was ever brave enough to try a HEAD (as if that would ever happen lol) I would definitely go for that kind of chart:)) I'm really looking forward to following your journey on this one, as well as all your new ornaments!
Oh wow, can't wait to see your progress on this! I still have one I need to start, maybe this will be the year.
What wonderful project this is. And you had a very good start on it.
What an amazing start. HAEDs are enormous, but so gorgeous. Might I ask how many threads you are using to stitch this. I began a HAED design many years ago on 22ct Hardanger fabric using two threads over 1 and full crosses and it soon became too tight to work comfortably. I sat the project aside and have not got back to it...
OK, I have just seen your detailed notes about this project in your side bar... please disregard my question above... My apologies :) You are obviously happy with the coverage of 2 threads on 22ct in tent stitch - I had been contemplating the same as I think the ship has long since sailed on which my eyes would let me work long hours over 1 on a much higher count... I tip my hat to those able to do it - LOL. Yours looks great in the photo anyway.
That's an epic chart! I'm thinking it will be a three year project! Looking forward to following your progress each month.
I had the same experience with my first HAED. Iam doing what I found worked best for me with that one - two threads tent stitch.
Wow what a lovely challenge you have set yourself - this is going to be absolutely beautiful
